Dr. Ashesh Roy Chaudhury is a Specialist in physical medicine, isokinetics, pain management/rehabilitation (back pain), rheumatology and pain interventions such as ganglion block neurolysis. His specialist qualifications include a MD in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and a DNB (Diplomate of the National Board) in the same specialisation, from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He also has the MNAMS title to his name.
Dr. Ashesh Roy Chaudhury practises at the Painstop Clinic in Agartala, and is also associated with the Sanjiban Hospital and the Manovikas Kendra in Howrah and Kolkata respectively. He has been in the profession since 2000, and has had the distinction of inventing a splint-spiral hand orthosis for rheumatoid hand deformity, which is now regularly used at AIIMS in the PMR department. Besides, he also has been credited with developing a special scoped heel for Plantar Fasciitis and a relief sole for the treatment of corn in the sole. Dr. Chaudhury has several publications to his name in peer-reviewed journals. His leisure time activities include performing/listening to music, painting, photography, and writing popular science articles.
